I think that esports are getting closer. The difficulty of the games are still foreign to certain generations.

I think that the live aspect isn't fully perfected on the esports front. It's definitely a when imo. The money, fandom and tech are making all of this bigger and more immersive over time.

To this day I think esports is greatly underrated, and it blowing up is a "when" not "if" situation.

I watch professional sports and esports and the entertainment of both feel the same, but the $$$ involved are 2 to 3 orders of magnitude apart.

Live sports/events is harder to commoditize than produced content (videos, tv shows, etc)
