#What’s new?

1️⃣ The Optimism team introduced updates called "Basic Decentralization."
Basic Decentralization primarily consists of two key components. The first is the implementation of unrestricted withdrawal proposals, allowing users to withdraw funds from L2 to L1 without relying on a sequencer or any other centralized infrastructure. The second component involves changes to the bridge, specifically protocol updates aimed at decentralized key storage with the bridge update.

2️⃣ StarkWare plans to implement ZK-scaling for Bitcoin alongside Ethereum.
The implementation of zero-knowledge scaling technology, ZK-STARKs, will make Starknet the first L2 network to work with both Ethereum and Bitcoin. To support this, Starknet is launching a $1 million fund. The Starknet team noted that no additional chain will be created.

3️⃣ Cosmos Hub launched the v17 update.
The update includes the Gaia ICS 2.0 (Partial Set Security) feature.
