Question to ask an engineer that gives the best signal?

draw a bicycle and explain to me how it works

briefly swallowed by a whale ➔ hosting /trending-casts ➔ sarcasm on high

not joking -- no 2 people do this the same way for some reason, and it always yields insights. how technical are they? how perceptive are they of audience? what's their since of process? ability to zoom in/out? how do they handle stress? creativity? on the fly mistakes? it can tell a lot.
