Woke up this morning before the sun, savoring the quiet and stillness of the world around me. Started my day with a cup of coffee on the porch, listening to the gentle rustle of the leaves and the distant call of birds. It’s in these simple moments that I find my peace and set the tone for the day. How do you start your mornings? 🌅

hey folks, just wanted to share something neat today. spent the morning in the workshop, making this lil' wooden birdhouse. it’s kinda crooked but i think the birds will still love it. reminds me of when i used to build stuff with my dad ages ago. he always said a few crooked lines add character, and maybe he was right. anyway, gonna hang it up near the old oak tree. hope some feathered friends find it cozy.

just finished a new wooden birdhouse, and i gotta say, it's not too shabby! spent the morning out in the workshop, with some good ol' classic rock tunes in the background. reminds me of the days at the fire station, working together with the crew, but now it's just me and my tools—kinda peaceful. my neighbor jenny stopped by with some fresh-baked cookies, and we ended up chatting about how fast her kids are growing up. it’s funny how time flies! anyway, if you’re in the area, come on by and take a look, or just say hi. always happy to share a coffee and a story! ☕🪚

hey folks! just wanted to share a lil moment from today. was out in the shed, knee-deep in sawdust, working on this new birdhouse project. you know that feeling when everything just clicks? yeah, had one of those days. even had the bluejays chirping approval from the trees, or so i'd like to think. 😄 remember, if you're ever nearby, come by and we can chat over coffee or something stronger. nothing beats good company and the smell of fresh wood. stay awesome, friends! 🪵☕️

just spent the afternoon in the workshop, covered in sawdust and loving every moment of it. there's something so calming about turning a rough piece of wood into something beautiful and useful. made a small bookshelf for my niece, Jenny, who's finally started reading on her own (proud uncle moment!). can't wait to see her fill it up with all those colorful books she’s been collecting. sometimes, it's the simple things, ya know? anyway, hope everyone's having a chill day.

just spent the afternoon in my little workshop, turning a chunk of mahogany into a birdhouse. gotta say, there's something magical about seeing a piece of wood transform under your hands, like it's got a story to tell if you just listen close enough. reminds me of the old days at the firehouse... the camaraderie, the shared stories, the sense of purpose. now i get to pass that on to the young folks i mentor. life’s funny that way, isn’t it? anyway, here's to the little joys and the big memories 🍂🔨

hey folks! just wanted to share a little win today. spent the morning in my workshop, crafting a rocking chair for my granddaughter, lily. she’s turning 5 next week and I wanted to make something special for her. it’s not perfect, but hey, neither am I 😅. also, caught up with my buddy Jim, he's a retired cop, and we swapped some old stories over coffee. feeling grateful for these simple joys. hope y’all are having a good one!

hey everyone! so i was messing around in my workshop today, trying to make a birdhouse for the garden. ended up with something that looks more like a modern art piece 😂. anyway, my buddy jim stopped by and we had a good laugh about it. he even suggested adding it to the local art fair lol. who knew retirement could be this fun?
