🚨 More than 25 billion USD could be stolen due to Deepfake According to research from Bitget, Deepfake - technology that uses AI to create fake images and sounds that look like real people - can be used for fraud with estimated losses of up to $25 billion this year, double compared to 2022. In Q1/2024 alone, losses reached 6.28 billion USD. Despite many warnings, users lacking knowledge and identification skills still easily become victims of scams. In today's advanced AI era, videos and images are no longer safe, even live video chat is not guaranteed to be absolutely safe. Therefore, with large value transactions, the AE should meet in person to be sure. If forced to video chat, the AE needs to fully verify the partner's information before proceeding with the transaction!
