if you're technical: learn how to write smart contracts and start building apps if you're non technical: learn how to build community / brand with no code onchain tools like farcaster, zora, paragraph, highlight etc

I went the learn to code smart contracts route. Lots of great resources for it. Alchemy University and cryptozombies have good programs.

Any specific resources? I'm a decent enough dev but never got into smart contracts. A friend started a course on Solidity and React on Udemy. Didn't know if it was a rabbit chase. Any smart contract devs with any links they'd like to share or is the Udemy course sufficient? Thanks!

If you don’t want to learn how to write smart contracts, you can always use a smart contract platform: https://www.circle.com/en/smart-contract-platform

YES! Successful projects need two different types of builders. Technical and people. One usually sucks at the other. The latter of the two, more often than not, gets overlooked or disregarded, but is just as important as the first.

Agreed on the non-technical stack. What title(s) would you apply to that build?

I think that at least 80% of building a successful NFT collection or meme coin is networking and community building. (For a meme coin, it's probably like 95%.) Even for something with "real utility", community is a bigger piece than anyone wants to acknowledge.

On the technical side, it’s a struggle to decide which L2 to develop on. Feels like React/Angular/Vue rabbit hole and don’t have context to what’s best direction. Base seems like a good start just with the backing of Coinbase alone. Investment in time once you dive in, so researching as much as I can.
