it's not zero knowledge OR optimistic rollup — it's both. we just opened a RFP to build a ZK validity prover for the OP Stack (and thereby @base) and have already met with multiple teams who are heads down making it happen. come build with us. https://github.com/ethereum-optimism/ecosystem-contributions/issues/61

important clarification: the optimism foundation drove this and deserves the credit! base team members have been involved, but only in a supporting role. I'm accustomed to using "we" to refer to the "superteam" of many teams building the superchain, but should have been more specific here.
