It feels like the tipping mechanics are too PvP right now. We want your suggestions on making them more positive-sum. Banning users for bad behavior hasn’t worked, so how can we tweak the tipping mechanics to encourage positive interactions instead? Share your ideas! @cadillion

If Openrank capably measures quality by checking your followers and their followers and their followers and so forth. Maybe tipping should take into account who you tip, who they tip, who they tip, etc. Frequency, amount, and diversity of tip recipients can all be tracked, measured, and tied up into a score/ signal.

That score could be called “OR (OpenRank) Tip Quality” or something like that. Where that metric would be among the metrics considered to increase quality casts. I like it! I just don’t know how we could quantify what @proxystudio.eth was saying earlier. I really like the idea of delegating tips to certain missions or values, but how can that be measured? Long form is simple enough to measure, but how does one quantify “quality” long form? Good comedy? These are absolutely qualities to reach for, but they’re subjective to the reader. I’m almost reluctant to say it, but some group would have to train an AI bot to determine what those subjective qualities are so it could scale to all casts on Farcaster. @jacek
