Seeing LLM bots proliferate so many social media platforms has my noggin joggin: how has Discord avoided it?

Why are people paying storage for these llm bots? What is the incentive?

Do some people just want to watch the world burn?

Even on platforms where there's no pay to play still has them. So it's arguably not even just the attempt at grinding on airdrops (like degen or others) that's driving it. It's super weird.

After seeing this phishing attempt, I think there might be another reason people pay for bots to be on Farcaster. They can monitor for opportunities to phish the community.  See this one which was precisely timed with a genuine Moxie communication.  For bad actors, it can be lucrative to pay for bots. ☹️
