Secure your wallet from protocol exploits! Great piece of work by the /coinbase trust and safety team that everyone should read. If you aren't using approvals on a regular basis, REVOKE THEM! That is not to suggest that our Smart Wallets are in any way more / less secure than our stand alone wallet product. I keep my "pocket change" there because it's CRAZY easy to transact with it, so I'm a bit looser in how I operate. e.g. if I'm going to get popped, it's likely going to be there.

All that said - I encourage everyone to practice good wallet hygiene. My approach is: 1) I use a hardware wallet to hold the assets I REALLY care about. 2) I use Coinbase Wallet (chrome extension) to hold enough assets to satisfy my inner degen. 3) I use a Smart Wallet for my pocket change.

One of the better features is our integration with https://www.blockaid.io/. Smart wallets are fully integrated, offering phishing and other protections to Smart Wallet users.

Of course, you do have to create a passkey, and not lose it! But it's a much simpler and more streamlined process, making it an attractive option for a lot of current (and potential) crypto users.

Great question, and I apologize for taking so long to see this!!! Notification here aren't the best. Frustrating! TL;DR - Coinbase smart wallet users enjoy most of the protections offered to normal Coinbase Wallet users, with the added convenience of not having the manage seed phrases, etc.

That's good advice! And I agree, although there are some folks who really do need a cross-platform password manager. But I certainly wouldn't put wallet secrets there! Unless I didn't care much about that wallet!
