gm, hooks-based react evm rpc api was a terrible mistake

instead of having easy-to-follow top-to-bottom left-to-right syntax we have something similar to try/catch we had with promises when your eyes constantly search for state variables

my main feedback on wagmi/viem isn't the hooks, it's the fact that you need a ph. d to read their types

good luck trying to use viem without inferred types

this is more of an indictment of TypeScript than viem. Viem is architected beautifully given the constraints.

totally -- i'm consistently marveled that the wagmi guys figured out how to get TypeSafe contract instances in TS, over a JSON abi. The type structure to get that working is genius

wouldn't say its a bad thing tbh, 

strong types = less bugs :D
