House of the Dragon season 2 should have been a 90 minute movie

I'm trying to catch up on the season but overall I haven't loved House of Dragon.

same... I enjoyed the first season but S2 is so slow

we also got behind and binged 3 episodes which might be a factor in my fatigue haha

I don't love the overall plot of the season. I can't get behind the family infighting story arc. I want a bigger problem. But I watched it the same.

Also, I had just binged GOT so it didn't compare.

hadn't thought of it in those terms but I think you nailed it

the Rhaenyra / Damon interaction was so intriguing in the first season but it's super predictable this season and they've had almost no screen time together

haven't read the book but maybe they're building to that resolving in a creative way
