My parents have been going to Hawaii for years, and their favorite island is Maui, with regular trips to Kauai as well. Occasionally, they'll end up on Oahu for a few days, but it isn't a destination for them.

However, they'd never been to the Big Island, so around my dad's 70th birthday, they spent 10 days on Maui and Annie and I convinced them to spend a weekend on the Big Island to get a feel for what it had to offer. We love our trips there, and my parents had a blast.

While showing them around, we got the most spectacular day at Waipiʻo Valley, which I minted into my Postcards from Hawaii collection, and it was scooped up by @mojomoby... another of my 2021 mints!

It’s so big, that… blank.

(Actually, it is so big that all of the other main islands in the chain would fit inside it. Also, it has all different kinds of climates from high desert, snowy mountain peaks, to grasslands and rainforest.)
