The ridiculous Russian demand being if you attack us directly we'll nuke you

*we invade you and keep all your land, and if you're allowed to properly fight back we'll piss our pants and make threats that would mean our entire country becomes a nuclear wasteland if we actually followed through

I just don't think most people take their threats seriously because Russia knows they'll end up getting nuked themselves if they ever fire one off ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
