so many conspiracy theories about the assassination attempt being a hoax the fact that msm outlets are completely burying the story was all I needed to see to know it's legit

Definitely not a hoax. Kinda crazy that the shooter is registered republican though

I'd argue the shooters party registration is completely meaningless and we should stop pointing it out. People who do this shit are just utterly fucked up in the head regardless of their party affiliation and aren't representative of the avg voter/citizen in the slightest.

In general I agree with you, but when right wingers use this incident to tell people that “the left” or “Democrats” want them dead I think it’s extremely important to have this kinda information spread around

true, but party registration stats can be unreliable especially in states with closed primaries like Pennsylvania for instance, I've tried switching my party on election years (well before the deadline) and received confirmation only to find out that it was never switched when the primaries rolled around he could have switched to one party or another to vote for (or against) a specific candidate without being ideologically aligned to one party or another regardless, I think the focus should be on the shooter and not his party of choice unless that's found to play some importance in the investigation

The shooter only registered as a Republican to vote for Hailey as a dig against Trump. He also donated to Biden's campaign and Act Blue.

Ya I mean we had the governor of texas tweet some unreal incendiary shit.... "First they tried to put him in jail then they tried to have him assassinated" as if the "theys" who took him to court are the same "theys" who attempted the assassination. Unreal how irresponsible that is.
