Regulatory clarity and upcoming technical changes are spurring growth in XRP-tracked futures, with open interest zooming to record highs on Saturday as prices spiked more than 20% over 24 hours. XRP and U.S. dollar-denominated open interest are at record levels as of Sunday, with over 2 billion tokens (worth nearly $2 billion at current prices) in futures positions betting on further market volatility.

Aave (AAVE) may face selling pressure as whales and market makers are moving tokens back to centralized exchanges. Several large transactions moved AAVE to OKX, Binance and MEXC, potentially stalling the asset’s rally. Aave (AAVE) may stop its growth after several large whales sent tokens to Binance. The lending protocol expanded in 2024, as it became the main source of yield. Three whales moved AAVE to centralized exchanges, with potential price pressures on the token. One of the transactions belonged to market maker Cumberland, which moved 10K AAVE to OKX. Galaxy Digital and a smaller holder also unstaked their AAVE and moved the tokens to Binance.

Ethereum protocol EigenLayer has fallen victim to an X (formerly Twitter) hack that shared phishing links and very likely stole $800,000 from a single victim, according to security analysts. The first phishing link, posted at 11:20 am, claimed that the “EIGEN stakedrop Phase 2 is now open,” and that a supposed supply of EIGEN tokens would be distributed. This post has since been deleted. However, several similar messages have been uploaded by the account, including a seven-part thread and a disclaimer warning that any posts beyond the final one might be phishing attempts. The hackers even uploaded a picture of a dog wearing a flower headpiece to bait users into clicking the harmful links.
