Interesting, I guess that king is usually the one that’s down in the game. But I do like that you still need to checkmate to win - kinda like tennis where you can’t just rely on them messing up, you still have to play to win when winning

This is still a thing in most email clients - I tried building an email template a year or so ago and it was a complete mess when viewed. Had to convert everything to tables cause that’s all they support

Yea in a super closed game you might prefer the knights over another rook, but might want a second queen to break through or something. Not sure how it would go in practice. Wonder if you can program lichess to add wacky rules

If you had to add a rule to chess to make it more interesting, what would it be? I’d say if you land 2 of your matching pieces on a square you combine them into one more powerful piece. Eg both knights -> rook. Both rooks -> queen

Yea maybe 'anti' is too far.. woke-averse could work? haha but that could be the point - publicly challenging the movement itself while maintaining your own moderate path is a good level of pushback, which doesn't retaliate or try to take ground from the underlying progressive causes

Don’t only the extreme groups lack that? Feels like general anti-woke tends to push conservative values / focus on economics over identity. A moderate example being companies like Coinbase valuing a mission over actively supporting social causes
