It has not rained in a few days and is supposed to get hot today, so i used the rain water i collected to water the mushroom beds at the water authorities.

At least a year. I want to get some compost and grow some turnips in the previously shared area this fall. Mix in what edible stuff I can find to plant on top. The more food i give the beds, the longer before they fruit, but the longer after, they will continue to fruit. I would imagine these take 1-2 years to make mushrooms and then produce for up to 10 years without feeding them again. This is what i have read. I only started a few years ago, and my first few beds were producing this year. I plan to feed mine regularly, take and mix materials to build more beds in this area of the woods i am removing the invasive english ivy from so i should continue to have more and more in the area with edible plants on top. It is by my house and i am going to find a way to get stuff to locals who will eat it. 

This wall behind my house is in its second year with no mushrooms, but i have grown spices and potatoes on top. Should be another year before they start, then they should produce for up to 30 years.
