Looks like David Fincher really working on movie about Cliff Booth, with Brad Pitt coming back and script by Tarantino. Filming maybe will start in July. On The Big Picture podcast, Sean Fennessey said the project is in development. He said Fincher has many projects that never got made, and while he’s not 100% sure this one is greenlit yet, it sounds like yes. Fennessey also explained it’s not a sequel but a follow-up — same character, different story, like The Big Sleep and Farewell, My Lovely. He said story happens in 1977, about 8 years after Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. So it’s different moment in Cliff’s life. It’s for Netflix, with budget around $200 million. I usually try to avoid trailers — they often spoil best moments, and promo always love to show those. But this one... I couldn’t skip. It’s scary to say, but I waited 15 years for new Tron. Kosinski’s film made huge impression on me — I still think it’s real audiovisual masterpiece. Looks like Disney feel the same — in trailer they even mention soundtrack authors: Nine Inch Nails (NIN). This cult American project, started by Trent Reznor in 1988, changed industrial rock, mixing electronic, guitars, and noise. In 1996 Reznor made one of first dark ambient game soundtracks — for Quake.

Guy Ritchie will make sequel for Road House with Jake Gyllenhaal — this info comes from trusted Hollywood insider Matthew Belloni. First movie was directed by Doug Liman, but he’s not back — not really surprise, since he was not happy with Amazon for skipping cinema release and said that publicly.

David Fincher and Brad Pitt will make spin-off for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood Some sources say Fincher is now working on movie about stuntman Cliff Booth – trusted insider Jeff Sneider says this is not April joke. No plot info for now, but Brad Pitt will be main star again. Also, they talk with Leonardo DiCaprio to appear in few small scenes. Script was written by Quentin Tarantino. Rumor says Netflix paid $20 million for it, and full budget can be around $200 million. They plan to start shooting this summer. If it’s true or not – we will see soon. But Tarantino always liked cinema more than streaming, even if he worked with Netflix before (The Hateful Eight extended version).

Keanu Reeves will return in John Wick 5, Lionsgate confirmed. Chad Stahelski is also back as director. The studio also said an anime prequel will be directed by Shannon Tindle (Ultraman: Rising), and Donnie Yen will direct and star in the spin-off about Caine. Rumor: Blade with Mahershala Ali maybe is canceled. Rodrigo Perez, insider from The Playlist, said Marvel stopped working on the vampire solo movie. He also said Ali’s Blade will maybe appear in future Marvel team-up, like Avengers: Secret Wars or in Midnight Sons (not official yet). Perez also said the old rumor about John Wick director Chad Stahelski was not true – he was never joining the project.

Warfare by Alex Garland and Ray Mendoza got strong early reviews — it has 90% on Rotten Tomatoes from 21 critics. The film is about U.S. Marines who got trapped in ambush in Iraq, 2006. Critics say it looks very real. They praise the camera work and sound — there is no music, but gunshots, explosions, and engine noise feel very strong. The fight scenes are also really powerful. But some reviewers think the movie feels too cold, like style is more than meaning. And message is not clear — if it’s anti-war, then sometimes it looks like it enjoy the fighting too much.
