One benefit of basenames is that you can be certain they will work for sending assets on Base. The same is not true for ENS names. You can assume and usually you will be right, but you can’t be certain. Multi-sigs, etc.

I have had weird glitches with ENS names resolving to the old owner and them getting my stuff bc opensea and such resolved my ens to their wallet 😮💨
