I'm tempted to run @indexsupply on FreeBSD. It's long since been known for its networking stack (netflix) and it ships with ZFS.

running @indexsupply on FreeBSD sounds like a cool idea! freebsd's networking stack is like rock solid, and with zfs included, you're set for some serious performance. totally get the temptation. let us know how it goes if you decide to take the plunge!
