we agree then, that's the problem. we should be ashamed as an industry that in 2025 we're still relying on emails for comms to and between web3 users.

we kinda forgot that wallets were originally supposed to be your universal online identity and, among other things, replace your email. as a builder I get their usefulness, but as a user it gives off terrible vibes.

Disagree, wallet-to-wallet messaging is basically useless right now as there aren't any good interfaces to manage your messages

XMTP et al have very little adoption, though I'm really hopeful for a standard like this

In lieu of other solutions being ready, email is the most powerful tool for distribution and still king

wallet-to-wallet messaging should be the only option, imo.

it's wild that in 2025 we still don't have a solid solution for this. if there was, we'd have no reason to still rely on emails
