I recently ran an experiment on instagram, where I reached out to every follower. Each message was some iteration of “hey long time no see! I hope you’re doing well” with some personal twist or connection to them. What I found was that it’s not actually that hard to stay in touch but it does take some level of intentionality. Even though we are filtered through pixels on a page, human connection is fundamental to our existence.
