There seems to be a somewhat widespread meme that 2025 is bull market year. I don’t really remember similar memes for 2017 or 2021. Can’t tell if this is collective cope if there’s any weight at all to this prediction.

Many seem to believe that crypto bull runs will peak ~18 months after a bitcoin halving. Correlation, causation, yada yada

It’s actually a collective cope at this point. Btc hit 73k and never looked back. Been down ever since. If trump isn’t elected. We may be in for the worst.

Maybe a bit of both. It's definitely a whole lot of copium, but crypto functions more on social hype than fiat does, so enough copium hype *could* potentially jumpstart a bull run. Or it could all crash again cuz crypto still isn't really old enough for us to get a real grasp of the patterns and potential.

I remember that I farmed cheap tokens after DeFi summer until the end of 2020 & had a bit of fomo to not have bought into btc because most anticipated a crypto run after DeFi summer & with btc breaching 20k. However, none of my friends were yet interested in crypto early December 2020, mid December the first newspapers wrote about it (& I wondered about top indicators) and in January many more indicators came up and just got worse and worse throughout February-March (first small top) until the wipeout in May (first main top) and worsened until November (top top) and some kept playing nft games (late top)

Imagine Bitcoin being 50k+ and we’re not in a bull market. Shits gonna be wild whenever it does show up.

Might have higher weight since memes were dog poop in 2016 and 2020.

I remember Twitter was like that during the summer of 2023, and later everyone dropped their hopes and started talking about longer cycles. If we're talking about art space, most likely the next bull will come in 3 or 4 years imo. I'm basing it on a personal experience with ICO projects. People got back to distributing ERC-20 with memecoins only 5 years after ICO bubble popped. It feels like any crypto space needs a long cooldown.
