DeFi and the majority use case of crypto is better described as “Public Finance”. 

It’s more descriptive, and it has the benefit of highlighting how off-base the notion of forming an “anti-public finance army” is.

I'm working on something that I'm calling a "non-custodial bank". When I brought the idea up to a few people, they had a negative reaction to the word "Bank". The bank is just the institution where you lend/borrow/trade/save/leverage value. All of the banking services are hyperstructures.
