How do you grab your bar?

I started doing it like the right because it felt better, but I had an xfit coach who told me it was dangerous and made me do it with my thumbs wrapped. I'm fairly comfortable doing it both ways now but still prefer having the thumb under, and I think the risk of dropping the bar on yourself is pretty non existent unless you're an utter mongoloid.
