One rule of thumb we have internally is: β€œIf something in crypto is hard, wait six months and it will become easy.” The infrastructure in the space develops so quickly that if you find yourself rolling a complex solution by hand, someone is probably building it as a product (Embedded wallets is a perfect example)

The fight against farmers is the #1 reason that degen has suffered so much and why we are where we are with it imo I still believe they should quit that fight (not winnable) and roll things back to the previous season just even as a start

https://paragraph.xyz/@deployer/the-mechanics-of-hamcaster Hamcaster builds on top of the Ham ecosystem to make it even more powerful! It allows anyone to buy Caster Tokens and start earning $HAM regardless of their engagement on Farcaster, or contributions to the Ham ecosystem. You can share in the success of other Farcaster accounts in a mutually beneficial way.

The problem is, all the feeds comes 99% from power users. Non-power users arent getting any engagements. This isnt organic. Small users should also can be seen by the public. Warpcast wont make it to the mainstream media if they keep giving 99% of feeds to power users only.

Why fight web3 native? Why fight the social whales on their territory? Make integrating the feed into web3 apps easy, performant If I can accumulate rewards from apps on my fc wallet I will use it everywhere Many web3 apps have disjointed social feeds The fc feed becomes the ubiquitous common layer on web3

The reason behind FC clients failing to get meaningful adoption is because of builders overindexing on the β€œclient” part. Building a client sounds appealing to technical people (clear spec & scope), but people don’t use clients, they use apps. A product thinking is a must here. It’s interesting that this doesn’t happen as much in greater crypto: nobody tries to build a uni client or an aave client and get adoption. Teams *integrate* uni/aave into their apps instead. Yet building a client is still a big narrative here on FC. I feel like there are a few app ideas where FC is used as a foundation (compared to being a tangent), although they all are niche and business-oriented.

this is one deeper way that crypto is just different. hacks are irrevocable, transactions irreversible, stakes real. this is why Coinbase GSOC, for example, is a much stronger security team than anything at the suit-driven enterprises that store your tax returns. they have skin in the game.

Setting up new accounts and buying things in web2 is such an unbelievably janky experience. It’s genuinely terrible. Web2 is a steaming pile I don’t understand how anyone isn’t turbo bullish Farcaster just needs e-commerce.

I love the vision and concept, but how is this actually enforceable? What kind of widespread crypto integration will platforms/users need to opt in to so someone makes $50k by accidentally going viral?
