Tried that. Figured it out that it was a font error after I read the very small text that it was. 

Main frustration now is just being able to click on things, also for some images, I can share —> export and for others I can’t

Ah, the left hand column is just for naming the objects, it has nothing to do with the actual text. To replace the text in the main area you'll have to double click on the text and edit it there directly.

Unless I'm totally misunderstanding what you're saying
