Was gifted some Vietnamese peppercorns of an unknown variety. Very excited to try them — any tips on figuring out what kinda of peppercorns these are?

Did you cook with them? They look similar to (but less red) than Sichuan peppercorns. That said both the red and green variants have a numbing effect when cooked with
