While I can’t speak for 1Confirmation, most VCs have longer time horizons and a broader market view, with higher risk tolerance. Big deals usually happen OTC, and a 6-month timeframe isn’t that long for them. We’re in it for the next few years, and I believe most investors are here for the long haul too.

yeah, everyday I see some coins saying they got fake amounts from fundraising, well, DEGEN already got it.

I don't think they are selling after a 6 month investment,as you pointed, the risk for them is not high,, but if this happens, any other will see the opportunity.. and, it may be solved before October 😅

I feel like the math has got to be a little more complicated than what is being floated around here. 

For example, if an individual’s share of the total allowance pool is limited to 0.22% (10,000/4,500,000) then their excess contribution to the vault would need to be removed in determining everyone else’s allowance, otherwise the whole allowance pool wouldn’t be distributed, right? Which would mean to get the max 10k allowance, you would need to distribute far less than 0.22% of the total pool.

Not worried about vc unlock much.

Yes, you’ll always get your share of the pool. If someone stakes a few million, they do lock up that part of the pool, even though they can only get a max of 10k $DEGEN daily allowance. That’s just how the game works for now. We might tweak it down the road, but we want to keep it simple for now.

Why not stay on Base? What's the point of the Degen L3?

Most people have their Degen funds on Base. There’s a small fee for transferring to Degen L3 over the bridge, so until we can eliminate this friction and improve the onboarding process, we’re keeping things on Base. We definitely plan to have locks on the Degen chain when the time is right.
