We've heard the community and recognize the current tip allowances aren't ideal. We're developing a new incentive mechanism to reward long-term members and reduce farming. We'll iterate quickly to improve the next season, making token farming increasingly difficult. @cadillion and I are cooking.

To clarify, future systems will require you to show commitment to the Degen project by locking or staking. We aim to reward long-term HODLers of Degen. The incentive mechanism we're designing is currently in development.

keep it simple e.g: - Welcome bonus, new comers to fc = You do not need to hold any amount to get degen tip for 1 month - hold 10000 degen , to get degen tip - hold 25000 degen, so you may get tip allocation - holding odegen, jumpnation, degentlemen etc increase the allocation

Are you factoring in the HODLrs who moved or store their DEGEN in a non-Farcaster associated wallet for security reasons? Could be introducing unnecessary risk by incentivizing ppl to move funds to hot wallets.

I am curious to know what isn't ideal about the current tip allowances, and if the people who are complaining are doing so because the whole engagement mechanism that has been dropped isn't favouring them.

These are all great for the next season, thank you @jacek But I would like to bring your attention to the change made to the allowances code a few hours ago. I see that you removed the round up to 1000 option for PB holders as of June 18, whereas in the morning Dune and frames showed 1000, and no prior announcement was made too, so most of us overtipped, and some are not even aware of this situation yet. I think it would be great if you could make an explanation and maybe start the new code as of tomorrow? So that many confusions due to overtipping and invalid tips will have been avoided. Thank you

Communicating sometimes requires the consumption of a lot of time and effort. I know it's the essence of social pie, but I think it's also a good idea to provide contributing activities like staking for those who have a hard time continuing to participate in these activities. It needs to be improved to reach the public a little more.
