diving headlong into an open conversation about AI with students seems more educational for everyone than banning

from my own experience, ChatGPT is like a new mental robo arm giving me dev powers i’ve always wanted but haven’t been able to learn in a way where i can immediately apply them to a challenge. 

so if students learn how to learn with ChatGPT, that seems like a huge win. copy + pasting essays definitely not great
