It depends on ios scope e.g., a link to your webapp clicked in mail will open the default browser A link clicked inside safari should open your webapp Also maybe try webapp://

okay interesting. so here is what i want to solve - alice has icebreaker PWA on her phone - bob meets alice & taps his NFC on her phone - bobs profile opens in icebreaker PWA, not in safari

Yeah looks like your hosed. I'm guessing the proximity reader will pop nfc-a url tags in the default browser. Try printing window.location and use that value in the manifest Id field. But fallback to what daimo does, let Bob click the app button one more time in safari to load the app

got it, makes sense can you show that button only if PWA is installed? (context: i'm a designer not a dev :) )
