I want to make a collection for my book, where each NFT is a page

Is there a reason to use pdfs over pngs? Any cons at all?

If you want each NFT to represent a single page and prefer a simple, universally supported format, PNGs might be the way to go. 

However, if you want the ability to group pages together, have searchable text, or ensure consistent display across all devices, PDFs could be better. 

The choice also depends on the specific platform you plan to use and how it handles these file types.
