It's crazy how many people lurk. This has been brought to the fore for me recently as people IRL have commented on things i've tweeted etc all without ever engaging with the content in any way

Every social platform is built on the shoulders of lurkers. The split may be 90 9 1 or 80 15 5.... but creators and sustainers are a minority. Hard to say if this is a bug or a feature.
