not sure what we’re mad about here or why “web3 gaming” is still hung up on the “interoperability” narrative in the year 2024 no one plays game A because they want to eventually take that character into game B - that does not make any sense at all from a game design POV this is just a silly metaverse talking point that ads nothing except problems & in fact, further deters everyday gamers with annoying crypto jargon when are we going to learn that the things that excite us, as crypto people, DO NOT translate to everyday folks “WHY CANT I TAKE IT OUT OF THE ECO?!” because this fundamentally goes against everything we know about game design… i can’t buy a gun in CoD & then take it into WoW. i can’t buy a car in FN & then take it into OSRS. i can’t buy a cosmetic in Roblox & take it into CS… i mean outside of straight up destroying the games flow & aesthetic, this would simply be IMPOSSIBLE to balance this made no sense in 2019 & it makes no sense today

how /animarising uses interoperability tho none of our players will ever know about it we have an all-item in-game marketplace & we have a cosmetic-only in-game marketplace they are each individual app-specific orbit chains that stand on their own, tho we can use the same standards across all in-game items as the ecosystems are interoperable this means that players can buy materials on exchange A, craft a cosmetic item with them, and then sell that item on exchange B under different conditions further we can deploy exchange A & exchange B at different times & with different permissions this allows us to offer things like first-time sales on exchange B, such as partnership skins or what have you, while still maintaining a fully locked ecosystem of items on exchange A (where first-time sales don’t exist as all-items ex. cosmetics are extracted from the in-game world & are not purchased from us, the developers)
