Transient Storage (EIP-1153)

EIP-1153 enables the use of temporary storage which will be persisted only for the scope of a particular transaction.

This will be huge as it will allow for more efficient smart contracts, reduced gas fees, etc.

Eg:
1. Reentrancy Locks - Contract maintains a flag to save the entry of the txn and check if the txn has been reentered again
2. Complex computations involves storing temporary data. Transient storage can help discard those data leading to significant gas reduction.

Transient storage introduces two new opcodes

TSTORE - 100
TLOAD - 100

Since it is cheaper to store and load transient storage, it allows for the developers to create highly gas efficient smart contracts.

Since the nodes won't have to store the transient data on disk after the transaction, it makes the transaction cheaper than otherwise.

This is useful for cases where the function needs to store data to be reused after a certain point of time within the same transaction.
