Hot take: every large app will spin up its own app chain over time, as well as its own wallet, in order to capture value across the entire stack. @uniswap launching @unichain indicates an acceleration of this trend. As chains become more intricate, @dynamic is here, building the crypto-enabled stack. We’ll handle the crypto, auth and wallet challenges, so that devs can stay focused on building their apps and ecosystems 🙌

What exactly is the value captured? Gas fees? My concern with the app chain thesis is that the fragmentation makes composability significantly harder, which hurts innovation and reduces compounding value accrual across the ecosystem.

I’m trying to agree with the wallet aspect of your take, but I can’t see that being anything other than horrible for the end users to have so many wallets

*every app _ever_ will spin up its own app chain. Rocket League matches will eventually store their live real-time multiplayer data using this approach.
