The mentioned mask is related to the pre-Columbian culture, that is, it is before the arrival of the Europeans in South America. The history of making such masks goes back to around 1200 BC. The masks were mostly made of cloth materials, but other Ted Finney masks have also been found that are made of hammered copper, or gold, or generally of mud and clay.
