trump starting to tokenize his whole family has likely started what i was mainly bullish on socials onchain (farcaster/lens) etc

he/elon is probably going to launch their own form of social network (prob a hybrid/something built on top of truthsocial/X) - which will be the only official way for celebrities to launch their own tokenized profiles

sadly i don't think it'll be farcaster/lens; elon/trump prob will want a large share of the pie which the former can't/won't give it to them. also the current community prob won't welcome them here

the average celebrity/fan doesn't care about decentralization - all they want is something to be officially endorsed, easy to use/understand,/invest/speculate. they are not interested to learn about hubs, arweave etc.

trump/elon will bring in millions/billions to onchain socials if they (they prob will) do this, which is what mr dan and mr stani, nostr ppl have been trying to do for years

for this reason im bearish on the current form of "web3/onchain social"
