A mask that prevents slaves from eating the earth.
Oppressed by inhuman working conditions, African slaves ate the earth in protest, depriving themselves of life in this way or temporarily losing their ability to work. And in order to save as many workers as possible, their owners put something like a muzzle on them, preventing them from eating the earth.
