“Hey sky, take off your hat!”. Happy Cosmonautics Day, friends! I was born and grew up at the Baikonur Space Center and this holiday is very important to me, on this day the first man in the world flew into space, his name is Yuri Gagarin. My dad, like many boys born in 1961, was named Yuri. That's why my full name is Inna Yurievna.

An interesting and at the same time insane fact: Korolev — the creator of the rocket that launched Gagarin into space — had previously been imprisoned in a GULAG. He nearly died there and survived by a miracle, and it was there that he was forced to begin developing rockets. He believed that he hadn’t died because his homeland, the USSR, still needed him — even though that very homeland had thrown him into the GULAG.
