Remember when being connected and tethered to our devices was a sign of importance and even prestige? That's over. It has flipped. In the not-so-distant future, there will be a new class of people, not defined by their monetary wealth but by their temporal wealth. A new sense of value and importance will be placed on being disconnected and on slowing down.

I'll repeat a quote from many people: we are slaves here. and we need to do something about it. People who go to only one job in the physical world come home after 8 hours and are 100% disconnected from all work. That's the way it used to be. But the Internet opens up a huge space and frees you from a lot of things, like commuting to work. Now I'm trying to figure out where and how to find the balance to completely disconnect from social networks for a long enough period of time.
