My friends from America, I urge you to save the world. This is not pathos—right now, the fate of the world largely depends on American citizens. Do not deceive yourselves into thinking that America is a democratic country where the president does not make decisions alone. Trump is a spawn of hell, following the path of Putin—the path of establishing autocracy and dictatorship. He has betrayed the European Union, and now the EU is left defenseless. There will be no World War III because there is no one left to resist this evil. As someone who has lived under Putin’s autocracy and suffered from it, I tell you: the line is thin. I urge you, by all safe and available means, to stand against Trump and push for his impeachment. In Germany, where I now live, Nazis are seizing power. In America, power has been taken by the wealthiest people on the planet—supporters of autocracy and dictatorship. Staying home on the couch is no longer an option. The fate of the world is now in the hands of madmen who can still be stopped. Please, take to the streets, protest, do everything you can—within the bounds of safety, and even beyond, if you consciously accept those risks. I urge you—do not stay silent.
