Elon basically wagered his entire net worth on the election and won. The Dems were going to absolutely destroy him if Trump lost. One of the gutsiest moves in history. Genuinely inspirational stuff.

Yep. NFTs kinda of skewed the idea and expectations of what it means to be an artist. The reality is that doing art is going to be a perpetual bear market for 99% of artists. Only 1% of artists see financial freedom from making art. It is the same in most industries/creative

Imagine if $400 million more dollars were spent developing technology that could reimagine the internet. Or reimagine our inequitable financial system. Instead, the SEC’s strategy diverts this money away from innovation and toward defending lawsuits.

Thank you @SECGov for my 50th birthday present in the form of a motion to dismiss the complaint @songadaymann & I filed asking for a declaratory judgment that selling art as NFTs doesn’t violate the securities laws. I’m gonna tweet my favorite bits.

The “No North Star” meme is ridiculous. Sure, there are plenty of implementation details to debate and figure out, but the idea that Ethereum hasn’t gone in a relatively coherent direction over the past decade is kinda wild. We just fixed the most visibly broken things 😅

One thing that surprised me about the response to this article was how many people were bothered by or wanted to ban the troll that I mentioned I find that letting the troll continue to waste his life

If the market gives you a chance to long a highly liquid yielding asset with a decade worth of success, that is simultaneously emerging as a store of value without the mainstream noticing.. You back up the truck and don’t look back

roko's basilisk is the idea that an ai could hunt you down across parallel timelines if you didn't bring it into existence in your timeline. i think it's a shit meme. what i DO think it's pointing to is that actions have trackable consequences across the fabric of the noosphere.

The first major human achievement was the domestication of fire this provided cooking and nutrition, extending activities into the night, protection from predators, toolmaking, control over the environment, and psychological/spiritual benefit

imo, the minimum outcome we should accept from a US stablecoin bill is for yield-bearing stablecoins to be easy to issue in America and not be securities. The incumbents, USDC and USDT, currently earn a combined ~$8B/yr in risk free investment income on stablecoin reserves.

Imagine every post, comment, or like you've ever made on social media being stored on the blockchain—expensive & slow, right? Not with validiums. Lens will keep your posts secure, fast, & affordable by storing them off-chain, but still giving you full control.

The fragmentation problem of the modular ecosystem isn't going to be solved by one team. It will take an alignment of tech stacks focused on different usecases to create the best standards possible.

One of these is not like the others... Open source, open standards, and decentralization are all relatively easy to define objectively. "Positive-sum" is an incredibly subjective morass of individual value judgements and politics.

Although it pains me to say it, I've learned that a lot of investors need to see high L1 fees for them to believe that L2s are great for ETH. I'd thought that building the next-gen world economy on eth would be enough to make ETH insanely valuable without

no one is poorly intentioned in these entities but in a space this fast evolving, there should be processes to force renewal in institutional components while maintaining needed expertise it's the only way we keep moving forward competitively

I wonder which game developer or platform will be the first to make this type of AI use available to gamers, and how many years/months away that is.

Building on-chain isn’t just about choosing the right technology; it’s about balancing performance, network effects, and developer accessibility. That's where projects are finding new ways to blend the best of both worlds – optimized VMs and broad ecosystem compatibility.
