✍🏻 Topic of the Day: English and Me
Today is English Language Day, so
here’s my story:
I was born in Mexico, so my native language is Spanish—not English, despite how often I use it. I started learning English early at a bilingual school, and we moved to the U.S. when I was 10. Since then, most of my studies, and now my work, have been in English.
I still believe we’re always learning. I can switch between English and Spanish seamlessly, but every now and then, I still come across new words. And funny enough, when I get nervous, my accent sneaks in.
In crypto, though, English dominates, whether you’re on Farcaster, X, or reading technical docs. That’s a huge barrier for many, especially in Latin America. That’s exactly why I started @cryptoconexion : to break down that language barrier. We’ve published over 100 tutorials in Spanish to make sure access to this space isn’t just for English speakers.
So yes, I speak English, Spanish… and crypto.
