Market makers play an important role in any trading ecosystem, but the decentralized nature of Web3.0 markets and the lack of information transparency that exists in some areas provides them with more room to maneuver. Because of this, regulators such as the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) have begun to take action against some Web3.0 companies in an attempt to curb such abuses. But as things stand today, regulatory enforcement remains challenging.
