A monad (monad) in programming and functional computer science is a construct used for complexity and side management (such as errors, status, or input/output). In simple terms, a monad acts like a box or container that holds a value and defines rules for working with that value. The concept first came from mathematics (set theory), but has become very popular in languages like Haskell. For example, the "maybe" monad is used to represent a value that may or may not exist (like null in other languages). With monads, code becomes cleaner and more predictable.
