people that play drums or music well – if you're playing a beat say with the cymbal and bass, are these two separate tracks to you: bass and cymbal or one track where they're interleaved? put another way, can you seamlessly play the beat with one hand while the other stops or starts? i can't do two different things with one hand each. i feel like im capable of a single track and i play the notes or rhythm as one beat after the other. the same for piano.

As a professional drummer, I'm not even sure what any of that is or what they're asking, it's not music, lol. Here's a stupid simple cheat sheet to read drum music. The rest is just repetition!

i was mostly asking if each limb can move independently – i've never learned to read sheet music or put concentrated effort in playing instruments cause both hands feel like they get tangled up over each other. based on replies seems like its common to practice things independently when learning.
