I want privacy and the freedom to do what I want, when I want, and where I want as long as I am harming no one. Why is that so much to ask?

an eth L2 privacy pool would need centralized sequencers

a btc zk sidechain has worse problems. drivechain unlikely to be implemented

zcash moving to pos (less sell pressure), elastic subnet on avalanche, halving coming up, etc. currently just above atl. staying listed on cex

privacy in general has been undervalued.

What is your reasoning for this unpopular opinion?

A doodler and computerer. I like permissive/permissionless open source, smart contracts, p2p systems, room-scale VR, and NixOS.

issuance i get, same security budget problem as bitcoin 

distribution is interesting though bc people hate the dev fund, but its 20%. in 2016, compared to btc, it seemed steep, but compared to newer projects, 20% is nothing. and the money clearly went toward r&d

I think a lot of people like and appreciate zcash's technology contributions, but don't love the token distribution and issuance.
